and so. this table was entirely imagined and carefully crafted from douglas fir by a local artist. when he inquired about my contribution of the patinated steel supports, i was honored to take on this small portion of the project. the end result of the detailed wood carving and finish work is absolutely stunning.

during an internship at yucca valley material lab in 2019, i proposed an idea for a site specific work on the mojave desert property. this multifunctional grid of concrete forms serve as a place of rest and an outdoor gallery for the artist in residence while also serving to engage the rugged landscape and it’s inherent chaos with a quiet and ordered grid of landscaping that is nestled among the three artist trailers on the compound.

no. 1. this was an installation piece that was entirely cast and imagined by local artist and educator. my contribution was merely to aid in hollowing out the concrete floor and to assist in sealing the bronze form into the site.
