bright+weather is the multidisciplinary studio practice of linda heidvogel.

her work is a culmination of varied design methods, which began with a bfa in interior architecture + design. it grew into a deep craft in making when she took a shine to metal fabrication, building small-scale fixtures and large-scale architectural build-outs as a professional welder. her dedication to her practice after receiving her mfa in applied craft + design was the catalyst to launch bright+weather.

this dynamic background provides the cornerstone to her growing studio practice, where she carefully curates objects and experimental environments that offer a place of refuge in an ever-changing and chaotic world.

among her cache of work are the site-specific installations that she calls interruptions. these interruptions take on many forms and applications and are a direct call and response between the artist and the site - whether it be highlighting an anomalous space in an existing building or the outdoor landscape - urban or otherwise.

her other body of work is an exploratory practice of materials that culminate into her objects or functional decor items - a collection of unique artifacts inspired by architecture, sculpture, and light.

she always allows space for collaborative work and commissions with other artists or clients with a vision for creating something custom and distinctive to harness a moment within the ever-shifting spectrum of quiet.
